Meet Our Team

  • Dr. Sheehy

    Dr. Sheehy was born and raised in Michigan. She attended Michigan State University for her undergrad and veterinary school. She worked in small animal veterinary medicine around the Metro-Detroit area until 2005 when she became the owner of Sheehy Animal Hospital. She has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and performing abdominal ultrasounds. Dr. Sheehy enjoys spending time with her husband and two bulldogs. She also enjoys traveling and bird watching. 

  • Dr. Davis

    Born and raised on the west side of Detroit, Dr. Brad Davis graduated from St Mary of Redford High School in 1982, then the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992, getting a couple of bachelor's degrees along the way. He has been working as a dog and cat veterinarian in the area ever since. During that time he has also done a national radio show (Animal Talk) and wrote a column for the Observer-Eccentric newspapers (About Animals). He enjoys planning adventures and traveling with his wife.

  • Tracy - Practice Manager

    Tracy has been with Sheehy Animal Hospital since 2005. She started as a veterinary assistant and has worked just about every position at Sheehy Animal Hosptial. She is now our practice manager. She enjoys spending time with her family and rescue pets. She also enjoys volunteering with a variety of animal welfare organizations.

  • Alex - Lead Veterinary Technician

    Alex has been a team member at Sheehy Animal Hospital since 2012. Alex loves all pets and has a special place in her heart for horses. She enjoys spending time with her family and is looking forward to finishing school and receiving her degree.

  • Caitie - Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician

    Caitie is very passionate about animals and is studying to become a veterinarian. She has been a wonderful addition to the Sheehy team.

  • Haley - Lead Kennel Technician/Veterinary Assistant

    Haley has been a member of the Sheehy Animal Hospital team since 2015. She loves helping pets. German Shepherds and African Wild Dogs are her favorite animals. In her free time she enjoys going to concerts and supporting animal rescues.

  • Daniela - Veterinary Technician

    Daniela has been working with animals since 1988. She joined Sheehy Animal Hospital in 2013. On her days off she enjoys playing volleyball, gardening, and spending time with her family.

  • Kim - Veterinary Technician

    Kim has always had a strong connection with animals of all kinds. She graduated from Henry Ford College and started her career as a veterinary technician in 2001, working her way up to office manager. She joined the Sheehy Animal Hospital family with Dr. Davis in 2019. Kim says 'I love what I do and have been doing it for almost 20 years. I can't imagine doing anything else'. She shares her home with a variety of pets including a ferret, rat, 2 dogs, a bearded dragon, and more.

  • Shyanne - Veterinary Technician

    Shyanne enjoys spending time with her family and has a special love of pit bulls. She has been with Sheehy Animal Hospital since 2017 but she has been working with animal and wildlife rescue for many years. She enjoys baking tasty treats on her days off.

  • Tina - Veterinary Technician

    Tina has been part of the Sheehy team since 2009. She enjoys traveling and going to concerts on her days off. She shares her home with her rescue kitties and her parrot.

  • Maison - Veterinary Technician

    Maison is a graduate of Kalamazoo College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology. Though born and raised in Michigan, she has lived in Canada, Thailand, and Alabama where she studied Columbian ground squirrels, elephant conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. Her passions lie at the intersection of veterinary medicine and wildlife conservation. Her goal is to become a veterinarian who practices wildlife medicine and travels the world in doing so. In the meantime, she works as a veterinary technician at Sheehy Animal Hospital where she is constantly learning new things and growing as a veterinary professional. She can't wait to fall in love with all your scaly friends and furbabies! 

  • Jessica - Kennel Technician

    Jessica loves working with pets and volunteering with local animal shelters. She has a big heart and all of the animals love her.

  • Melissa - Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician

    Melissa has always wanted to work with animals since she was young. When she is not at work she spends time with her husband, 3 daughters and 4 dogs!

  • Sandra
    MLS- Veterinary Assistant

    Sandra worked with Sheehy Animal Hospital for almost 10 years before moving on to pursue her career as a Medical Technologist. Her passion for animals lead her back to us in 2020. She is mom to Kiki (the kitty), Munch (the doggy), Egon (the crested gecko), and Craola (the chinchilla). Besides her love of animals (especially bats) she enjoys creating all types of art and drinking coffee.

  • Amanda - Kennel Technician

    Amanda has always been an animal lover growing up. From fostering kittens to babysitting reptiles, she has always fell in love with each animal she meets no matter the species. When not working, Amanda studies Management at Eastern Michigan University and enjoys spending her free time at home with her four cats.

  • Natalie - Kennel Technician

    Natalie is an aspiring veterinary student. On her days off, she enjoy taking horse riding lessons in English dressage. She also enjoy playing video games, biking, and photography.

  • Ash - Receptionist

    Ash lives with a variety of pets including a rescue kitty named Rusty and sweet Flo, a kitty rescued from Puerto Rico. He also fosters wild animals for a wildlife rehabilitation clinic that he volunteers at on his days off. He has plans on returning to school for zoology and conservation and then to go into veterinary sciences.  

  • Debbie - Receptionist

    Debbie has been with Sheehy Animal Hospital since 2008. She enjoys cross-stitching and spending time with her children. She shares her home with her dogs and cat and 2 bearded dragons.

  • Denise - Receptionist

    While Denise Toney is new to Sheehy Animal Hospital, she has a long career working as a veterinary receptionist, having started in 1986 in Detroit, then spending 25 years in Garden City.Born in Elyria, Ohio, Denise grew up in Columbus until moving to the Detroit area with her husband, Sam. She also has a son, Donald, and now lives in Redford.Denise enjoys participating in the Slow Roll, a weekly summertime social bicycle ride around the city, and spending time with friends and family. She also really likes things that light up or sparkle, which, as anyone who knows her can tell you, matches her personality perfectly!
